Project Overview
Working at Expo 2020 Dubai meant operating within one of the most tightly controlled construction environments in the region. For Evolution Interior Design LLC, Khair Al Amal was appointed to deliver the RCC foundations for the Norway Pavilion signage, with every stage of the work subject to a defined hierarchy of approvals, site protocols and safety requirements.
The project required close coordination with international vendors, contractors and multiple approving authorities. Every material proposed for use had to be individually submitted and cleared before execution, while all site activity had to comply with Expo 2020’s dedicated safety regulations. This made planning and documentation as critical to delivery as the construction itself.
By managing the approval process alongside on-site execution, we were able to keep the programme moving without compromising compliance. The foundation works were completed within three months, giving us first-hand experience of delivering within the operational standards of a global exhibition site.
